In some cases, you’d be forgiven for mistaking it for yoga—except without any yoga pants. The original artists clearly had a sense of humor, and included representations of scandalized onlookers with their hands at their mouths. But the United Nations approves: Khajuraho is a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site.

Traveling with family is fun. Well, even more when the destination is Hyderabad. It’s not just visiting some fun places and eating some authentic food. It’s about travelling through history, discovering rich heritage and culture; experiencing culinary customs, and so much more. Here are some great places you absolutely must visit if you ever drop by the capital city of Telangana, the new formed state.
  • Golconda Fort:

The Golconda fort received its name from the term “gola konda” that translates to the native language meaning shepherd’s hill. The fort dates back to the 13th century when it was under the rule of the Yadava dynasty and has sat through the ruling of many like the Kakatiya dynasty, the Bahamani dynasty, and later of course the Mughal Dynasty. It is famous for its acoustic effects where if you clap in Fateh Darwaza, it reverberates back the entire way and is clearly heard in the other end at Bala Hissar, nearly a kilometre away.
  • Charminar

This monument is located in the heart of the main city. The monument was constructed in 1591 by Mohammad Quli Qutub Shah. • Hussain Sagar Lake:

Hussain Sagar Lake holds the record for being the largest man-made lake in the entire Asian continent. Connecting the twin cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad, the lake was created in 1562 AD during the reign of Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah.
